Most of Canada has a very short growing season. To take full advantage of gardening in our great country, you should start seedlings indoors to have plants ready the minute the frost breaks.
Peppers can be grown through the spring, summer and early fall. Since pepper seeds are so abundant, you can start indoor seedlings from early March, like I did, and onwards through August.
One key tactic is to save your store-bought salad containers to act as mini green houses.
Make small holes in the lid of the container for CO2 to enter and excess moisture escape. The containers will maintain a good temperature and moisture level for fledgling seedlings.
